CORA – Rebrand of the Year – Women’s Sanitary Product
The company has changed their products to be more plant-based and sustainable. This meant that a rebrand for their packaging was inevitable. The clean and preppy packaging design challenged the existing general package designs of sanitary brands. This is precisely why Mother Design won a Dieline award.
HALF MAGIC – Plastic-free Innovation – Makeup
This makeup brand has packaging that uses innovations in material design to make compostable styrofoam for makeup palettes. A much-deserved Dieline award to highlight the successful material design. This makeup company called “Rules Beauty” collaborated with “PaperFoam” to make packaging that is likely to set a precedent for more brands and products around the world.
The Good Cup – Disposable Food Cups – Cyril Drouet of ADDLESS Packaging Solutions
A fully patented new cup design with an extension that eliminates the need for a plastic lid. The Good Cup can be recycled, is produced sustainably and is cost-effective. The Good Cup won the A Design Award for sustainable packaging design. Furthermore, it saves the need for making a separate lid for disposable cups. Hopefully, this innovative cup will soon hold McFlurries around the world.
John Walker and Sons – King George V – Limited Edition Lunar New Year Packaging
This Muse Award was won by April Advertising for this luxurious redesign of a limited edition Lunar New Year King George V beverage for John Walker and Sons. The packaging features the meticulous lacquer painting technique of Vietnam with gold details that focus on culturally significant illustrations. A true packaging design beauty!
Pepsi Black x Digital Shanghai FW
PepsiCo partnered up with Shanghai Fashion Week in 2023 for the “Originating New Nature” theme. Just like the focus of most innovations of our time, sustainability and technology were priorities. Shades of green and pink in futuristic, glitchy lines on the Pepsi packaging with a black background is an example of cool, glitchy graphic art. For this catchy design, PepsiCo Design and Innovation won the A Design Award for beverage packaging.
